Pangea is launching in Bristol in July

Rebecca Lloyd and Sarah Hilary will be reading a selection of stories from Pangea at The Thunderbolt on Wednesday July4th, from 8pm onwards, as a Word of Mouth event. Then on Thursday 26th July, the anthology will be launched at Blackwell’s bookshop on Park Street in Bristol. Do please come along to both events, if you’re able to. We promise a lively evening of readings plus of course the chance to buy the book. RSVP if you’d like to attend the Blackwell’s launch.

International Short Story Day

As we count down to the launch of Pangea in the UK on 26 July, our thoughts are turning to short stories. We’re intrigued to learn about the International Short Story Day Chain Gang Challenge, being hosted by Comma Press, which will see a team of British writers go head to head with a team from South Africa to write a short story collaboratively and in real time on 20 June. There’s more information over at Sarah Hilary’s blog, Crawl Space, as she’s one of the authors taking part, along with Stella Duffy, Maria Roberts, Nicholas Blincoe, Calum Kerr and Tony White.

So how’s everyone else planning to celebrate International Short Story Day?
